The Flower Workshop and London Art Chase reviews

Hi all! I am taking a social media break this week as well as mini blogging break until Monday, but I wanted to share these two book reviews tonight. They are vastly different from each other, but each a gem in their own right. Stay tuned for my monthly book reviews next week! It was a month full of good reads!

The Flower Workshop
Ariella Chezar

Chezar takes her vast knowledge of flower design away from the workshops at FlowerSchool in NYC and makes it available for countless more people who desire to gain experience in this beautiful craft. Whether for business, an event, or adding some colorful petals to a home, there are a myriad of floral arrangements that will satisfy anyone from the novice to the expert level. She provides great explanations and instructions in the pages of arrangements (categorized on tonal, branch, fruit and berry arrangements and handheld bouquets) as well as plenty of pages full of techniques, tools needed for projects, and a seasonal flower guide. So much beauty within the pages of this vibrant, gorgeous book.

London Art Chase
Natalie Grant
This sweet little tale geared towards middle-school girls follows three sisters on vacation in London. They explore the sights and end up perusing through the rooms of the National Gallery when they spot someone taking one of the priceless paintings. Their adventure turns into a mystery they're bound to solve. Natalie is a top-selling Christian & Gospel singer and four-time Grammy nominee as well as an advocate for eliminating human trafficking through Hope for Justice International (which she co-founded). She has now tried her (talented) hand at writing YA fiction with a positive message (there are plenty Christian references without being tacky or preachy). It's a simple yet fun story that young girls will be sure to enjoy.
